Rose Hill Activity Centre
|
Our service at Rose Hill currently provides activities, day and respite care to people aged from 16yrs to 65yrs who have a learning disability, including those who have physical disabilities and/or high complex needs.
Our 16 to 18yr olds access us during their school term breaks throughout the year. We offer an extensive range of activities for people to select and purchase individually or as part of a care package. Each person is assessed according to their needs. People may also choose to bring their own enablers with them. We have a highly trained team to meet all aspects of care and disabilities, our staff have undergone extensive training which continues throughout the year, we work alongside all the professional bodies you would expect such as Physiotherapists, Speech & Language, Care Managers, Teachers etc and our Professional Music and Drama therapists who come here for weekly sessions. We currently run from Monday to Friday 08.30 to 5pm. We are very keen to set up evening and weekend clubs/activities, please contact us if this of interest to you, we would love to hear from you. We will be happy to show you around and have a coffee or tea and a chat. Or call in for one of our leaflets and activity planners. Everyone is welcome here at Rose Hill. The Rose Hill Centre has developed a further service in the upper floors of the building (It now looks a bit like the flight deck of the Death Star) to accommodate approximately up to 15 people who are more able as there is a staircase. People coming to use this potential new service will have access to a full range of indoor and outdoor activities. This will include getting involved in local events and projects. This may also serve as a base for people with a learning disability to meet up with their friends, socialise and have some fun.
