What does Northam Lodge do?

Northam Lodge provides residential and day care for the most vulnerable within our community – those with profound learning disabilities (formerly referred to as mental handicap) Most of our clients also have additional physical and sensory impairment and some associated health conditions.

We know each of our clients as individuals and this means that we can provide much more than just basic care. Our dedicated staff team are highly qualified and are able to maximise each person’s abilities and independence through many therapeutic activities.

We work alongside health care professionals such as physiotherapists and speech therapists. The homes are fully adapted and have specialised equipment to make life easier and more comfortable for our clients. Whilst we can never replace the style of care that clients will have received within their family home we do try to make each of our three homes as family orientated as possible.

Families and friends continue to play an important role in Northam Lodge and we are keen to be active members of our local community.
