Northam Lodge is a charity based in North Devon offering services to people who have learning and physical disabilities. The Charity operates both residential and day care services for adults with learning disabilities. Residential care for 23 clients is provided in three separate homes, namely Northam Lodge, Christopher Lodge and Gibson Lodge.

The residential care services are for people with profound and multiple disabilities. We are the only provider of this type of high care specialist service in the whole of North Devon, and are a vital resource for the families and carers in the area whose relatives live in our accommodation.

A further nearby property, Rose Hill, houses the administrative centre, with the ground floor providing the location for the day care service.

Our Mission is to help people with learning and physical disabilities achieve the best quality of life, have choices and independence through the provision of the necessary care, support and development.

Please send us your pictures that capture ordinary and extraordinary events in the lives of people with disabilities.  This competition is open to everyone and we are asking for entries that celebrate the achievements of disabled adults and children.  The aim of the competition is to raise the profile of disability in a positive way, especially within your local community.
 
Northam Lodge, supported by The Burton Art Gallery, would like to invite you to take part in this photographic competition.  The photographs can portray any disability and will be the photographers own unique observation of their subject.  The photographs can be in either black & white or colour.

There will be a £100  prize  for the winner

Winners will be announced at an Exhibition of the photographs  at the Burton Art Gallery on Friday September 7th,  and these will then be made into calendars for 2013, and be on sale at either The Gallery or Northam Lodge.
